He called himself a hero. Their great salvation. Within months, he destroyed everything my people had spent thousands of years building. He raised humanity against us, laying waste to all of dragonkind in a war unlike anything we’d ever seen. For the first time in four thousand years, humanity will no longer be ruled by dragons.
But when he shattered my body, he did not take my life. I awakened somewhere else. Sometime else.
Now I have eight years to hoard my power and prepare for the arrival of this so called hero and the destruction he brings in his wake. I can see where we failed now. We grew too complacent. But I'll need more than just raw power to stop him. No, to truly bring an end to his path of destruction, I will need to become the very thing he claimed I already was.
