The Longwatcher
The Reign of Man has ended. The Tyrant Lizards walk again.
**Like the vines twisting through the ancient spires, life adapts, no matter the obstacle. **
The reign of man ended quietly, without pomp or circumstance. Cities lay rotting and reclaimed, as from caves of steel and circuitry, another great age of reptiles emerged. Each step they took was another towards the last wish of Humanity and its dreams.
One such walker is Kael-Longwatcher, an Enforcer and protector of his Pack's law; an experienced and skilled member of the Megaraptorans who have made the Spirelands their home. He has been a perfect weapon to enforce the Pack's rules and laws, to drag home prey and fend off predators, and to cut out the rot when it bleeds into those within the pack. But unlike a dagger or spear, he can question why he makes the killing cut or pierces the hide.
However, just like a dagger, such a weapon must be kept within a tight grip and close to the chest, else you lose control of who it cuts. When the grip slips, the veil is cut away, and the answer to why he must cut out the rot reaches Kael, there are only two options. Run and seek a life free of lies and strings, or submit and dance to the tune of his elders.
