Based on culture and mythology blending Irish, Aztec, Nordish and Roman.

Raised in the slums of Carrick Cahir, Pale buys food with his fists. One day the System rewrites reality and drags the world into trials.

When the trials end, worlds merge and living Monuments rise, fortresses that crown their conquerors as Lords. Captured by zealots who feed blood to a mountain altar, Pale is forced to fight. Far off, a blood-scribe, Ronan, writes letters that make fate flinch and help a would-be king sharpen his knives.

Claim a Monument, and Pale can shelter the few faces he still recalls. Trying to become the weapon the new world deserves.
