You'd never think that a high school dropout would be one to decide humanity’s fate.
Humanity has become dependent on our automated systems, which did most of the work no one wanted to do. Many people, like myself, were living off accumulated wealth, squandering away their days consumed in various forms of entertainment. I, the sole heir to a genius inventor, had it far better than most.
One day, this brilliant illusion of prosperity was shattered. They came, bringing with them knowledge that would shock humanity down to its very soul. They offered a proposal, an invitation to a game of sorts. Eight of humanity’s greatest would compete to determine the one ‘greatest’ of us all. Who would be granted power far surpassing that of any human in history.
I have always been very competitive. But the added incentive of keeping certain people, like an egotistical pink haired chick with a real mean streak, from this power just makes it all the more fun.
This is a record of my journey. Shall I come out on top? Or will humanity be left to another in my place? Whatever the universe has to offer, bring it on.
