The Chrysalian Saga

This is a character driven, action adventure, slow-burn political thriller mystery with eldritch horror and shounen anime inspired elements.

The story takes place in the world of Chrysalia, a fantasy nation with a hard magic system themed around light. It is told through the perspectives of 13 protagonists, 7 veterans, 7 antagonists, and a few other actors whose identities and names are not revealed until later. Everything is connected, and each thread will slowly be revealed over time.

It starts in the forest where Runa, a young woman who wields a sword made of blue light, takes on a massive insectoid beast behaving erratically. During the fight, she encounters a mysterious young man wielding chain blades made of red light, and the two of them team up to take down the beast. But things are not always as it seems. Is Runa's light truly just blue? Or is there another type of blue light waiting to be unleashed...

Author's note: this is my first ever piece of fiction! I have worked on this for just under a year and finally got the courage to publish it online somewhere. Most of the work has not been proof read yet, so suggestions and edits are really appreciated! I will be posting new chapters daily, and I am also working on creating a webtoon version of this story.
