Jack is an average, witty, 30-something dude who can't decide if he is the luckiest man on Earth or the most unlucky.
While most heroes get a truck or a goddess, Jack got zapped mid-piss, two years before Earth was even scheduled to get magic. Now, he's the sole, accidental inductee in a "solo tutorial" that no one was ready for.
He's a little unlucky, and his unique traits combine to turn him into a perpetual motion machine for mana. In a world where mana is money and money is power, that is an attractive proposition. The downside is that it will probably make him explode.
He's in a desperate race to learn to control it before he literally goes 'boom'. If he can get it under wraps and stay out of the spotlight, a world of mana rifts and adventure awaits and he might even be able to twist his unlucky circumstances into an overpowered combination.
